I love this sculptural group above the entrance of the 1906 Argyll Motor Works in Alexandria, especially the car in the centre with the details picked out in silver. Cont./ #glasgow #architecture #alexandria #argyllmotorworks #sculpture #motoring #cars #industrialheritage

A reminder that all SNP MPs abstained on the proposal to keep the UK in the EU Customs Union in April 2019, which otherwise would have won a majority (it fell short by just three votes). All of the Scottish Labour MPs voted for it.

Hundreds of newly-qualified paediatric nurses and midwives have been told there are no jobs available in many health boards as cuts and vacancy freezes take hold. The SNP is failing frontline staff, pregnant mums and children.

The proposal for Glasgow to host the 2026 Commonwealth Games is a no-brainer that would provide a much-needed boost to Glasgow with over £100 million of inward investment. My column in today’s Glasgow Times 👇

Really big supporter of Glasgow hosting the Commonwealth Games in 2026 though I do hope proper controls are put in place to stop rents sky-rocketing as we saw during COP 26. We need to see an inclusive Games that works both for sports fans and Glasgow's citizens.

Frigates are being built on both west and east coasts in Scotland, with two having hit the water, more taking shape and work on subsequent hulls underway.

This week, I made my Maiden Speech. I also asked a question following the statement on the Infected Blood Scandal about how awards under the compensation scheme will be made.
