Love the Q for prof Ranger by audience member. Are the Nursing and Midwifery Council standards task orientated? Where is the space for compassion and communication? Did you know Karl Tizzard-Kleister has highlighted how there is no reference to emotional labour in the Nursing and Midwifery Council 2018 code? #rcned24 RCN Education Forum

It turned out that we had so many people interested in our talk that we were moved to the main room for our presentation! Thank you to the technical team who were so helpful in making that change happen, and for all those who attended! #RCNED24 RCN Education Forum

Excellent presentation. Made you think about the whole issue of proficiency in practice and how it is not a linear process. 👏👏

Many nursing students aged 18 work part time jobs just to be able to undertake their nursing studies. Even more so a feat considering the placement hours requirement and despite the fact they are training for one of the lowest paid graduate professions. This gets worse and worse.

It takes a remarkable person to work in nursing. Yet for too long they have been overworked, underpaid and many are now at breaking point.

I had a non-income assessed bursary & a gov funded diploma when I started my children’s nurse training in 2010. I graduated in 2014 with no debt. I topped up to my degree in 2018. Nursing needs to be an attractive career - starting with gov funded degrees & fair pay when
