Corporal punishment has been found to still exist in our schools. Our own Dept of Education recommended that the legal loophole in the form of Art.4(1)(c) be repealed at the earliest legislative opportunity. Yet nothing has been done since this revelation. But they do this!?

Schools perpetuate misogynistic ideology by insisting as per rigid uniform policies that girls/young women wear skirts (measuring such with a ruler in front of peers or insisting that jumpers are lifted to show the waistband) and transparent blouses/shirts.

Reading up on school photo policies and in some examples, there has been a drastic change in wording from last year. Which is welcomed BUT when the reality is well known in regards deepfakes, everything should be done to avoid posting identifying images on the Internet.

The anti bullying act is fundamentally ableist in regards how the child must self report. Also SEND children are disproportionately more likely to be used as bullying pawns. You as the equality commission should acknowledge this and advocate for a change in the legislation.
