To our colleagues in the education profession who are returning for a new school year this week: we wish you all the best! To all those who have already returned: we hope your new year has got off to a positive start! What a difference you all make!

It's wonderful news that schools will no longer be labelled with one or two-word Ofsted gradings! Margaret and I hope that the same changes will be applied in other early years settings too. It's time for accountability to feel different, for everybody in childcare & education.
