What a great bridge between basic sciences, physiology, and clinical medicine! This is why medicine is so great!

I never once had a black teammate in the 15 years I played competitively, and it doesn’t surprise me at all how black players were treated in this sport. I’m proud of Evander Kane and the other black NHL players for speaking out and trying to fix the game I love top down

My process of learning an illness script (or book chapter) for a disease. 1/ Learn in the context of a case (patient, case-simulation). Start small and build over time. A clinician's illness script evolves over a lifetime. Create robust illness scripts for common diseases.

What gets you more energized, coffee or renal physiology???? Like if mythbusters practiced evidence-based medicine!

At night, sometimes it’s the little things that keep you going

While bargaining a first union contract, an employer is required to “keep the status quo.” Yet UI Health is denying the usual cost of living increases to their newly unionized residents while they bargain their first contract.

Wow. Still in shock from the disappointing and offensive response from UI Health during our contract negotiations yesterday. This academic year, UIH is withholding our annual cost of living adjustment, and came to the bargaining table with just a 1% salary increase

WE DID IT! After 10 months of bargaining, organizing petitions, open bargaining sessions, and collective actions, the residents and fellows at UI Health have reached a tentative agreement on our FIRST CONTRACT!
