Scottish Stroke Care Audit annual report this week showed 2,500 people discharged after #stroke in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area. About 1,500 of those will have left hospital with some form of disability. Support for rehab/recovery after stroke must be a priority.
New Public Health Scotland data suggests health boards should review their stroke pathways to ensure early admission of stroke patients to a stroke unit and access to ongoing stroke specific care.
