Tangipahoa Parish Government has been informed by Smitty's of a leak on their grounds. They indicate the substance is "green water-based dye," and they say it "is not considered harmful to humans or the environment." TPG has been in contact with DEQ regarding the matter as well.

The Florida Parishes Arena has scheduled three “Ride Day” opportunities this month. Ride Days cost $5/horse brought to the facility. Ride Day openings will be on Wednesday, Sept. 4; Tuesday, Sept. 10; and Wednesday, Sept. 18. The Arena will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Good news! Our Tangipahoa Parish Landfill reopened at noon today and remain open until 4:30 p.m. today. The landfill will be open on Friday, Sept. 13, from 6:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., and on Saturday, Sept. 14, with extended hours from 7 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
