Last year an investigation by ITV News & The BMJ questioned the evidence for claims that "microclots" caused long covid symptoms and the use of apheresis and anticoagulants to treat them itv.com/news/2022-07-1…. A newly published Cochrane review on this is damning 1/

Please give this important review a read! We found that the majority of evidence being used to justify plasmapheresis for the removal of "microclots" is at high risk of bias. The term "microclots" itself is inaccurate, and these particles are found in healthy controls too.
