After years of stalwart resistance, I let chemistry permeate my thoughts. I'm now drawn deeper and deeper, And truly feel the void between molecules. - An ERC grant-writing poem

Props to Mark Sassenburg for the second work in his PhD program which provides a unified discussion on preventing salt precipitation in the CO2 reduction field. Great co-authors in Maria Kelly and Siddhartha Subramanian

📰Two months ago Maryam Abdinejad headed to MIT, but her Chemical Engineering TUDelft research is still coming! Her latest is out in Advanced Energy Materials and investigates high surface area MXene aerogel catalysts for CO2 conversion to formate. Very exciting! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.10…

Excited to announce that our group received an ERC Starting Grant for CO2 electrolysis! The grant wouldn't have been possible without the great ideas and discussions of present and past group members. RECALLCO2 will bring 3 funded PhD positions to the group in the coming year.

Hugo's latest tell-all book for CO2 electrolysis is out in ACSEnergyLett. Admittedly less scandal ridden than Prince Harry's 'Spare' but it will still have new CO2 researchers glued to the pages. Certainly our new recruits! H.P. van Montfort

It was a blast to have a few days at #MATSUS23 conference in Malaga. Sad to leave before the end of the CO2-to-x seminars. It was great to enjoy everyone’s company and present two fun works from our group! Have fun at the rest of the conference!

Are you working with ePTFE electrodes for #CO2electrolysis? At Tom Burdyny's lab, we probed their activity distribution & proposed a novel current collection design to improve the current distribution on the catalyst layer. Out now at Nature Communications! #CO2RR nature.com/articles/s4146…
