Great example of the varying interpretations by Christians of the Bible. Religions are basically organized communities with different interpretations and rules on how to worship God.

The Bible isn’t an institution. Various organized religions preach from the Bible, yet hold very different religious views. Hence my point of context and interpretation.

My faith in God is 100% an individual choice and about me and my relationship with God. The church is a euphemism for all believers. I am a believer. I am not ALL believers, nor would I want to imply that I believe I am.

There are parts of the Bible that, at first glance, cause me pause. Those are the verses some use to justify their lack of faith. For me, those verses have led to the strengthening of mine because they forced me to dig deeper. Scripture is often taken out of context and…

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not anti church or anti organized religion. To each their own. I’m sure many people feel closer to God when they go to church. I get it. Some settings make me feel closer to God than others, but in all actuality…He’s with me wherever I go. The setting…

I learn better studying on my own. Always have. Some learn better in a classroom or a church. Studying the Bible on my own doesn’t make me less of a Christian than someone who studies the Bible in Church on Sundays.

Attending a church is a choice. Some people need community support more than others. I tend to get closer to God when I spend time with Him alone. Personal preference, I suppose.

The “body of Christ”, aka the church, is a reference to all believers. Organized religion is a structural system of worship. A believer can worship God anywhere imo. The Amish do it in homes.

No One 🇺🇸 People who are mired in collectivist group think are not capable of understanding how the rest of us actually think for ourselves

Be careful of whom you allow to interpret God’s word for you. You can’t know their heart. You can only vouch for what’s in yours. Faith is a personal journey. Organized religion is the creation and interpretation of man. Man is fallible. God is not.

Religion is incapable of hate. Individuals choose their own actions and control their own emotions, contrary to popular belief.

It all boils down to intentions. You can be against something without using violence and hate to stop it. I find it ironic that people are justifying their own violence and hatred, while claiming to be opposed to the same from the other side.
