Thrilled to share our last paper in Ecology Letters 👏👏🥳 Unfolding the dynamics of ecosystems undergoing alternating wet-dry transitional states #WaterDrivenTransitionalEcosystems 👇 doi.org/10.1111/ele.14…
It’s on! #ICOM12 12th International Conference on Mycorrhiza 2024 officially started. Here some photos of the welcome reception 🤗
I’m SO excited to introduce THE AMAZING Asmeret Asefaw Berhe (Dr. Asmeret Asefaw Berhe (she/her)👩🏽🔬🌍) at the #ESA2024 New Phytologist Keynote talk 10:30-11:30am PT tomorrow in the Terrace Theater. Asmeret is a science rockstar, impactful leader, and fights for equity and inclusion in research. Don’t miss it!@ESA_org
Hello #ESA2024! Interested in how wildfires alter #soil nitrogen cycling and losses via NO and N2O? Some “fire-loving” fungi come alive after fires to denitrify and Elizah Stephens is using isotopomers to fingerprint the N2O they produce and the substrates used (Monday PS3-040)
Are you early career at #ES2024 and interested in how to access funding from US federal agencies?? Don’t miss Workshop #02 in 104B today from 11:45-1:15pm to hear from and network with folks from DOE Office of Science USGS NASA Earth U.S. National Science Foundation SERDP & ESTCP. I’ll be there and all are welcome!
Danielle Ignace Dr. Danielle Ignace of University of British Columbia & Harvard Forest is named an EEE Scholar for her research on the impacts of climate change, fire and introduced species on ecosystem health & Indigenous communities, & for her advocacy for TEK and dedication to inclusion in science⭐️
Wonderful New Phytologist keynote this morning at #esa2024 by Dr. Asmeret Asefaw Berhe (she/her)👩🏽🔬🌍 on how shifting precipitation regimes impact soil carbon!
Great talk by Dr. Asmeret Asefaw Berhe (she/her)👩🏽🔬🌍 at #ESA2024 about precipitation, erosion and SOM. Take home message: deep soils layers are temperature sensitive, drying of these layers makes the stable carbon pool available for microbes and over the whole profile soil porosity loss.
Please please if you're at #ESA2024 tomorrow come to some of these awesome #ARID NASA Earth Terrestrial Ecology Scoping Study events! We'd love to share the rad stuff we've been up to with your amazing input, and gather more awesome ideas for transformational science in #drylands
To the folks that came up to me at #ESA2024 to tell me how Women In Soil Ecology has helped you - it brought me so much joy and makes me feel like we are on track to build the supportive, collaborative, non-toxic community we all want to be a part of.
Also working with our leadership team is such a dream: Courtney G Collins , SierraDawn ,Kendall Beals , Andressa Venturini, Joy M. O'Brien , Ishwora Dhungana 🥰
