I’m so disgusted & upset by the outbreaks of racist & Islamophobic abuse, including the city where I live. Solidarity to friends, colleagues & students threatened by this & those fearful for friends & family. I stand with you as an ally against hate.

Two months in prison for the thug rioter who smashed the windows out of a police car. While the Just Stop Oil protesters get 4 and 5 YEARS for a peaceful protest. WTF 🤷

Some people think this could be the top slice of a windmill but it’s the top of a helter-skelter which used to be on Britannia Pier at Yarmouth. Once it was no longer fit for purpose a local bookmaker bought it and turned it into a holiday home

Siting MP and bastion of free speech Robert Jenrick thinks it should be illegal to praise God in Arabic. It is wrong for a sitting MP to spout such racist hate speech, particularly at a time of critical right wing terror threats, and he should resign. RT if you agree.

Image house in Bunbury, Cheshire is covered in stone figures. The story is that they represent the sheriff and his men and were put there by a poacher who lived in the cottage once he had finished his term of transportation

This demonstrates how important it is to look around the sides and back if you are dating a house. Cottages built around 1830s in Somerset Road, Southsea, Hampshire had the façade added around 1850. Probably when larger stuccoed houses were built in adjacent Beach Rd.

The Paragon, Bristol, a Grade II listed Georgian terrace forms an elegant crescent. We think it is quirky because while the fronts are concave the porches curve the other way with convex double doors which are all painted different colours. They were built between 1809 and 1814.

We love chimneys and these at Moot Hall, Aldeburgh, Suffolk, a timber framed building with brick walls each end, were added c1860. Said to be replicas of kitchen chimneys from Hampton Court Palace. Moot Hall is one of the oldest and best-preserved public buildings in the country.

This rusting Nissen hut, which may not seem like much now, is a piece of Second World War history that could be transformed into a unique home. Originally used as sleeping quarters for airmen at RAF Shepherds Grove, near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk.

2/ it was later moved to a garden near Diss in Norfolk. The hut sits on a quarter acre of land and planning permission has been granted to create a two-bedroom home that preserves the hut's style and shape. These huts were designed to be easily dismantled and transported.
