If the carbon tax really does end up going down and politicians genuinely care about minimizing costs on individuals then we're pretty much giving up the fight on climate. The entire point of a carbon tax is that it is the single lowest cost way to reduce emissions.

It now appears that intelligent climate policy is impossible in Canada. So, we're going to get either bad climate policy or no climate policy. And, we will all be worse off for it. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

This is the person that let an occupying force take over downtown #Ottawa, and drove our local economy into a billion plus of losses. I almost never say this, but you probably should sit down and shut up.

This makes me SO happy as a Hintonburger and also SO full of schadenfreude. Never forget the respective actions of Stellar Loonies and Moo Shu during the occupation.

Pretty sure it’s the trash service. I’d have to leave my house at 6am to get to the office by 8am if I took transit. Not keen to add an extra 4 hours to my work day.

1/This is a thread with facts on how the Green Line project was terminated by the Govt of Alberta on Sept 3. No attempt at a negotiation, just a letter pulling their support & funding. The impact is devastating. I’ll lay out how they are ignoring the facts & what it will cost us.

This is an incredibly sad day for Calgary. 2 billion dollars spent on provincially approved land acquisition, utility relocation and design that this government now decides they don’t like. If the province didn’t like the alignment, why did they agree with our plans after

Ottawa residents were fed up when the 2022 truckers’ protest shut down large parts of the city. Citizens took matters into their own hands, blocking a key intersection in an event that became known as “The Battle of Billings Bridge.” (1/3) #Artifactuality

Canada has banned the use or manufacture of land mines because the devices are indiscriminate in who they maim or kill. In keeping with this position, Canada should condemn the use of hidden explosive devices in Lebanon as clear violations of the laws of war.

Ottawa isn’t a city, it’s a shakedown. The suburbs are holding the urban core hostage and shaking them down for development charges and property tax dollars to fund their shiny new roads and community centres.
