I did some very quick freelance work for a big ad agency. To get paid, I need to send them hard copies of: two forms I had to fill out, photocopy of the front and back of my ID, and a photocopy of the front of my bank book. I need to send them in the mail to their office 💀

Can’t stop thinking about this. It’s a **national emergency**. Taiwan’s education system is giving kids PTSD and night terrors. Educators are unqualified, unprofessional, untrained, uncaring.

How do you not walk into the bank and hand that amount of cash to the teller? Depositing it in an ATM is wild. Like buying plane tickets on a phone.

This is a really tragic story but I have to say, the Taitung authorities and govt agencies acted super fast. I wish this level of competence was applied to other areas of concern, like child abuse cases.
