The Quinlan Brothers seafood plant in Bay de Verde is now processing about 100 tonnes of farmed Atlantic salmon each day. It’s an impressive sight. These fish are 8 to 12 lbs each. With this blend of wild and farmed seafood, the plant is now a year-round operation.

NL’s unknown soldier is securely in place aboard this passenger plane, which is on the tarmac in Lille, France. The plane is scheduled to touch down in St. John’s at 6:55 p.m., followed by a procession of vehicles doing a drive-past of locations with links to the regiment.

Here’s a sight. The Newfoundland Ensign was the official flag of Newfoundland from 1904-31. Today, it’s flying again outside Confederation Building as a three-day laying in state for the unknown soldier begins. This is the flag the unknown soldier served under.
