It's a trip to try to set up a whole-ass "modern" tech stack in a big hurry when the only part you have any significant experience with is the database! This take-home interview is supposed to take 4 hours and I haven't written one line of code yet!

People complain that React takes a lot of configuration, but Django seems to be nothing BUT configuration! Just implemented a Google OAuth login and there's like almost zero actual CODE.

Installed PostgreSQL three times in the last week, every installation had a different package manager, location, default user/password, and recommended client. Fucking ridiculous!

Love to discover in the middle of a take-home interview that my 2016 MacBook Pro is probably not gonna cut it as a dev machine even for web any more :/
