🌟 Internship Spotlight: Eriana Pitts, University of Illinois ---> Our final internship spotlight for the summer goes to Eriana Pitts, who completed an important internship with the University of Illinois this summer researching Black history curriculums throughout the country.

TSUAg's organics department recently held a pair of events on campus : "Field Day" was organized on Friday (Aug. 16) at the TSU Organic farm. The U.S. Department of Agriculture TOPP soil health workshop and in-service training took place last week as well. 🌱 🌽 🌿

Students ---> TSU NextGeneration Inclusion Consortium recently released a new App that can help you in your career in Ag!! The App is called SEED and was created with the mindset of helping students in agriculture to explore available opportunities in internships, jobs, scholarships, and events. 🌱

10 TSUAg environmental science faculty members recently attended the biannual TSU-UTIA Research Summit hosted by the UT Institute of Agriculture. Leaders and scientists from both of TN's land-grant institutions gathered to exchange ideas and explore new collaborations on forestry & natural resources.

TSUAg professor Dr. Doc Lap Tran recently kicked off new research projects funded by the Dept. of Agriculture. The 1st will study sustainable agriculture practices among limited-resource farmers in Vietnam. Dr. Tran's 2nd project will see him analyze post-COVID-19 pandemic food security. 🔬 👨‍🔬
