We had a wonderful “I’m a P7, get me out of here leaver’s service” this morning! Well done P7 and good luck at Queen Anne HS! Congratulations to everyone who got an award and well done all our performers!

P2/3 have had a busy and exciting start to the new term. We are all ready to work together to develop our skills and talents.😄👍⭐️

P6 have had a great first day back. We created some “all about me” hoodies for our new teachers, discussed which rights were important to us in P6 and created some portraits for our new class charter. #successful #cooperativelearning

What a start to P4! We had a great day learning about the UNCRC and our rights. We explored the circles of control and thought about what makes us unique. We learned a lot through play and created our class rules. Well done everyone!

P4 #TweetoftheWeek. This week has flown past with so. Much learning happening. We have explored our rights and created our class charter. We wrote silly stories about our summer holidays. We investigated colour theory through the book, The Dot. We were inspired by Kandinsky.

Team 2/3 have had a super first week back. They have written a class charter to help them with their learning. #uncrc

P5 have had an amazing start to the year ! This week our new teacher has been really impressed by our great writing and we learned to draw self portraits and we worked together to create our class charter!

P6 created our class charter. We discussed how we as right holders and duty bearers could ensure the rights that are important to us are met in our classroom. We all signed our charter to promise to uphold these rights and make our classroom a happy place to learn. 😃

In art this week, P6 drew half-face self portraits of themselves. We discussed how we are all different and unique. ❤️

P6 produced some great writing this week when planning and creating some imaginative short stories about our “unbelievable summers.” Mrs Paterson was super proud of their work. 🤩#successful #achieving

P6 had fun in outdoor learning this week using a range of loose parts and materials to develop communication, teamwork and problem solving skills in the playground. #outdoorlearning

T2/3 have been learning about number sequences and playing games to help them with their learning.

Primary 5 have worked very hard in writing this week. We have been learning to plan using a mind map, and then we used our mind map notes to start the first drafts of our 'All About Me' information texts. We are focusing on using paragraphs and headings.

P5 explored the amazing Outdoor Learning area at the police college on a very sunny morning today. A massive thanks to all family helpers who came along with us! #playingislearning

P4 #TweetoftheWeek. This week we have been learning about, what makes me, me? We created mood monsters and our class charter. We talked about what our values and wrote about what makes us unique. We also developed our team skills by building dens and swings!

P5 have really enjoyed learning how to touch type this week. We found it tricky to use the correct fingers on the correct keys without looking but we are getting better at it!

P4 #TweetofthWeek! This week we were working on ready set go and handing off in a relay race in PE. We continued to look at skip counting in maths and looked at the skeletal system in science. We enjoyed loose parts play in the playground and wrote a recount about a chosen day.

P6 have been taking part in team building games and exercises to develop our communication, collaboration and sportsmanship skills. We played “all aboard”, “the human knot” and capture the flag! #teamwork
