We describe energy security as another of the Moldovan government's enduring challenges. We welcome Moldova’s swift, difficult move away from reliance on Russian gas and call on Western partners to continue to support these efforts.

Most importantly, we see Moldova’s EU accession and Russia's diminished influence in the wake of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine as positive developments that offer an opportunity for Chisinau to seek a rapprochement with Tiraspol and Comrat.
