I am very much enjoying this stage of parenting. Being able to have thoughtful conversations and seeing the kind of person my 7yo is becoming is such a joy.

One glaring difference now that I live in a small town in the Midwest: my dog just broke her leg and the nearest emergency vet is very far away and can’t see her for hours. Apparently there’s nothing we can do for her pain in the meantime. This is torture.

Content Design was already paid less than most (if not all) other design disciplines. Now CD jobs are being eliminated and brought back at lower rates. So CDs are facing paycuts at a time when the cost of living is exploding. This is not how you create a healthy workforce.
