Lately, I've been trying to put into words a movement I've seen gathering steam on here. More and more people are looking for practical ways to combine tech and policy to make Britain greater. Here's what I've learned 🧵

You can access most of these ideas for free, from places like UKDayOne, Works in Progress, txp's Progress Prize and Tony Blair Institute for Global Change's Future of Britain project.

Naming the movement is tricky. Tech-adjacent ideologies tend to accumulate baggage quickly... But the common theme I noticed is progress. Somewhat adjacent to Patrick Collison and tylercowen's Progress Studies, I think what we are seeing here is a British idea factory for progress.
