Beautiful Kyiv in May at work made by Yurii Khymych (1928-2003). He was a master of landscape painting. His paintings have a specific mood. This is Kyiv and St.Sophia Cathedral after thunder with a very bright light just after the rain. Very symbolic as of May 2023.

I should’ve posted something about museum day, but I feel so tired. I’m doing a lot of research now, so I guess my brain can’t process everything. By the way, electricity cuts came back! Writing from sunny Kyiv during air raid without power.

Work by Opanas Slastion,1880s

'Flowergirl', 1903 by Kazymyr Malevych, and 'Flowergirl', 1897, by his teacher Mykola Pymonenko. Malevych studied at an art school in Kyiv founded by Mykola Murashko. In some sources it's says that Malevych artwork is from 1930, but I see 1903.
