Laila is a resilient single mother & returnee from Iran. After graduating from IOM's EU International Partnerships 🇪🇺🇪🇺-supported apprenticeship programme with 200 others, mostly returnees, she now earns a steady income at a women-led business, crafting beautiful Afghan handicrafts & clothing.
With support from the World Bank, Food and Agriculture Organization has rehabilitated the Shakarman Canal in #Alishang, #Laghman. This 2.3 km canal now irrigates 295 hectares, critical for the livelihoods and food security of 7 700 people. 💧 #WaterManagement
