Transport is key but next week we'll be widening the focus and asking how #journeys can be more inclusive, safe and meet climate goals. We'll share a tool that could immediately align and combine inclusion and climate efforts. Free online workshop 29 Feb: eventbrite.co.uk/e/think-worksh…

Is travel becoming more equitable? If not, what will ensure fair transport decarbonisation? We need a radical rethink and action. I'll share some ideas on 29 Feb with Transport & Health Integrated research NetworK eventbrite.co.uk/e/think-worksh…… Katie Pennick Flick Williams @thredCiC JELLY HEAD Inclusion London

Incorporating inclusion into design for decarbonisation is an opportunity, not a complication. It's a time-limited redesign gift and we need to move now. On Thursday we'll be considering real actions to start taking that opportunity. Sign up here: eventbrite.co.uk/e/think-worksh…?

POV: you’re a wheelchair user and the staff haven’t turned up with a ramp, so you’re trapped on an empty train. The emergency alarm is out of my reach so I have to rely on my shouting skills. How would you feel if there was a risk of this happening every time you use the train?

Love this from Steve Cassidy - kindness isn’t a KPI or an evaluation metric. It doesn’t have a ‘route to market’ either. But we know it when we experience it. What would it look like if we created the conditions for people to be kind?

Biodiversity loss and climate change are not information deficit problems, and will not be solved by ever more precise data about where and how fast they are happening

"We need to show that what surrounds us, shapes us. We need to explain the challenges we face in that context..." This is so important. Inequalities have been normalised. Constant, siloed attempts to 'fix' barriers when we should be crafting new systems that don't create them...

We're working with Society of Antiquaries of Scotland planning a new space to learn about Scottish #heritage. We want to work with people who are disabled and disadvantaged by many destinations - how can the space and its services be made as inclusive and welcoming as possible? heritagehub.socantscot.org

Making public transport and active travel more affordable, accessible, and sustainable is an anti-poverty measure. Scottish Government can help by supporting public control over buses and extending free bus travel to more people on low incomes.
