I’ve always read a lot. I’m especially into “lost” generation works (counterculture in general, beats, freaks, etc). Steinbeck’s use of language always just amazes me.

Loves me a a goat, but that is a rare bird. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in person (and my dad worked on rare cars and restored and built rods and bikes for a living).

Performative patriotism pisses me off to no end. This accomplishes shitall. If you are so GD patriotic, fund every one of those schools, make sure none of those kids are going hungry, and make sure they all get to college or in a good union job. Otherwise? You are a full of shit.

I just watched the most painful “off the grid” instagram. First, guy bought a SEE tractor - Freightliner bastardized a Unimog with a backhoe, loader, and some hydraulic tools for the Army - and then didn’t realize heavy junk doesn’t carry jacks because it can pick itself up.

The bodies? I don’t know where they went. They were gone when I got here! Come Igor! We don’t have to take this abuse, and we have work to do!
