So happy #MeatFreeMonday whilst visiting the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow's West End yesterday we stumbled upon #Scottish apple Heaven, an affable apple officianado John Hancox from Scottishfruittrees.com was responsible for this incredible display.

So our visit with our Grandson and Daughter yesterday was Magical, it involved the pondering of tree ferns, the buying of gorgeous deli items at Celinos and on our Grandsons recommendation [I rarely do this a 10/10 meal] at Partick Duck Club turns out the boy has exquisite taste!!

So Happy #sundayvibes We are off to the West End of Glasgow today to visit our Daughter and Grandson, it has been ages since we saw them, life has been so busy, I predict squirrel feeding in the Botanic gardens and a visit to Celinos Italian deli.

So I may have led some of you to believe it may be Sunday lol relax it is indeed Saturday, my auto correct has been scolded 😂

So anyone for some apple tart with a warming hint of black pepper? I have some thick Jersey cream to spoon over it, I am taking some through for Mum and her friend.

So happy #Sunday Tweeters, you find me making apple pie using Windfall's. Many of my family do not like cinnamon, so wishing to still have the fragrance of spice I sprinkle the apples with a little ground black pepper, it brings a glorious and warming depth of flavour.

So I just love Twitter, I got into a conversation earlier with Chefsteph about roast Butternut squash, chilli and coconut milk soup and it looks like we came to similar conclusions!!

So happy #wednesdaythought honestly you turn your back for one minute and a helping of windfall apple crumble disappears!! This crumble was controversially made with self raising flour and spreadable butter, I was dubious but it is perfectly crisp, light and so easy to rub in!

So this is the Carington Arms 💙 not only is it beautiful, offering gorgeous food and entertainment, it has lovely, lovely Tweeters at its helm ♥️

So happy #tuesdayvibe I have literally had a 'Windfall' I popped round to our Daughters earlier, during the recent stormy weather her neighbour's laden apple tree has dropped bounty onto her lawn!! I am going to attempt a Crumble Tatin tomorrow, I'm not sure if it will work....

So happy Tuesday, there has been much chat about delicious pineapple upside down cake on my page, I find the recipe also lends itself to ripe seasonal local pears or #Kent apples in this instance, I like to reserve some of the raw fruit to serve for a contrasting texture.

So the weather has turned for sure, it is simply lashing down with rain, anyone for a Hot Pudding? Mum loves Eves Pudding, I have cooked apples from the garden and enveloped them with a buttery sponge, having popped it in the oven the house now smells promisingly glorious!
