It's essential for youth-led activities at whichever level to be streamlined with existing policies and events and also for them to be involved in identifying the existing niches and obstacles. Ahead of #COP29 the #youthsympossium will provide an ideal Avenue for this.

For any organization to run effectively and sustain, there has to be efficient leadership and strong management systems. Leadership to provide direction and vision and management to ensure smooth operations.

Yesterday, we visited a group of farmers in Murang'a working on amazing farming techniques. We learnt the importance of integrating indigenous knowledge and science in agriculture. GNEI is keen on how such techniques can be implemented in ASAL Regions. State Department for ASALs

Thread🧵 1/4 We collaborated with the Green North-Eastern Initiative in a visit to Kihumbuini in Gatanga, Murang'a County, to learn about climate-smart agriculture among smallholder farmers.

Our first stop was at Mburu's farm, where he practices regenerative agriculture. We learnt that plants often seen as weeds like Black Jack, Wandering Jew and Oxalis are nutritious foods and natural pesticides with medicinal value. Watch the video here: youtu.be/B20nhmUR_-8?si…
