Found this little fella in the road after it was hit by a car, held it for half and hour breathing warmly on him, gradually came round after being in my pocket for a bit! Eventually flew off in to a nearby tree, hoping he’s going to be ok!

Help needed!! I'm working on my Hover Fly list , currently a lowly 79 species(although it was 71 ten days ago), realise I need some of the rarer species that can be found in the New Forest . Can anyone suggest any sites that I can try? Retweets appreciated

For anyone who missed the news an immature Red-footed Booby was photographed sat on a boat in Worbarrow Bay on Monday evening where it remained for 50mins. A 1st record for Dorset & only the 3rd for the UK. It could still be around- look out for a smaller, brown gannet like bird.
