Everyone does realise, right, that the insane extreme weather we’re seeing now will worsen until we eliminate fossil fuel emissions—which are *still* rising. And once we get there, it won’t get better. That’ll be our new normal. The time to act is now!

Mind boggling heat: The average temperature in Phoenix, day and night, over 3 months, was 99°F/37.2°C. That obliterates the record set last summer. Today will mark 100 consecutive days to break 100°F/37.3°C. Big oil and all fossil fuels are not compatible with life.

Air pollution driven by fossil fuel kills almost 2,000 children under 5 *every day.* So yeah. Ted Cruz was basically chanting "more dead kids." What a tough guy!

This is pretty amazing: the ocean heat content averaged over the Gulf of Mexico is obliterating previous all-time record highs. It's 126% of average for the date. bmcnoldy.earth.miami.edu/tropics/ohc/

“The science has been telling us that fossil fuel phase-out is the No 1 thing that we need to focus on, but within our universities, there’s very little research on how to do fossil fuel phase-out.” theguardian.com/business/artic…
