We colour ring Common Tern and have a good rate of sightings within the UK. We use black Darvic with white writing. Examples of our ring sequences are as per photos taken from birders. Please report all sightings to us via our website

We're thrilled that the Woodland Hide at Belvide has been upgraded after a huge amount of work from volunteers πŸ’ͺ The hide itself has been clad, there is a new screen in place and a new ramp into the hide too. Well done, and thank you to everyone involved πŸ‘ πŸ‘

A few shots of a very enjoyable days birding. 98 species recorded and we didn't see Little Egret, Peregrine, no Terns and could have done with a few more waders considering the conditions. Well done to all who took part. See you all May 2025 #WestMidsAllDayer

Many thanks to 28 teams who participated in Saturday's #westmidsalldayer. Some good totals achieved with Blithfield aided by 14 species of waders. By my reckoning a total of 145 species were noted across the sites; main omissions were Med Gull, Corn Bunt, Tree Sprw + Arctic Tern.

This habitat doesn't just happen. The Reserve was gifted by CEGB now EON in the 1970's. If it wasn't for volunteers it would resemble thick mainly willow woodland by now.

Thanks for the photos. And thanks for all your work. Without the volunteers, including the chainsaw trained, a whole load of folk wouldn't have Little Bittern on our county lists. Thank you.
