Did you guess correctly? I am a young cassowary! These captures were taken at Wildlife Land Trust sanctuary 'Frog Hollow' in Queensland. Owners Sean and Vanessa are working towards establishing a 10-hectare cassowary corridor to connect the property to the nearby national park.

In Victoria, conservation covenants on private land are helping safeguard essential habitat for the Critically Endangered plains wanderer. Private landholders are also providing habitat for captively-bred birds to be released into the wild. bit.ly/3RYRYbm

In July the Wildlife Land Trust welcomed two new sanctuaries to the program with a total of 44 hectares protected. One of our newest sanctuaries ‘Boulder Cloud’ has a stunning escarpment backdrop whilst also overlooking the Pacific Ocean bit.ly/3SB2GFE
