#Antimicrobials are not always the answer to treating an animal. Use antimicrobials when prescribed by a veterinarian. Always follow the length of the treatment & dosage even if your animal already seems better. We all need antimicrobials but not in all situations. #AMR

Today, #WOAH held a workshop on #AMR in Apiculture 🐝 in #eSwatini! for Southern Africa Members. The meeting aimed to foster discussions on importance & use of AMR in bee keeping, reduce AMR risks, and promote prudent use of antimicrobials in bee keeping.

Last week, our representative for Southern Africa, Dr Moetapele Letshwenyo was awarded the Dr Willie Ungerer Memorial Prize for Epidemiology Excellence awarded by SASVEPM (Society for Veterinary Epidemiology). This prestigious award is considered a unique award for epidemiological excellence. Congratulations! 👏
