I recall being allowed to stay up on a school night (in my 1st week of Grade 3) to watch this on 1 of the 2 tv stations we had in pre-cable Winnipeg. The salt creature was scary, though not as much as the monsters on Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, which ran on Saturday nights.
