On Friday, a cheeky elf snuck into our classroom with a letter to say he’ll be keeping an eye on us for Santa! He’s already up to mischief - we’ll be writing all about him at the end of the week 🎅🏻🎄😃

This week Year 1 have been exploring the style of Picasso, drawing their portraits using features of cubism.

Year 1 visited Lower Drayton farm today. We sat in a trailer to be pulled around the carrot and pumpkin fields by a tractor. We saw lots of farm animals, big and small - even some baby calves and lambs! It's been wet and windy but we threw on our wellies and had a great day.

For this week’s Maths in Y1 we’ve been working on our mass and volume knowledge. We measured the mass of objects around our classroom using cubes as a unit of measurement. We also used our results to compare our results, securing our understanding of heavier and lighter.
