After the summer break, we have Vespers again this afternoon at 4pm, followed by Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Also, Compline at St Joseph’s at 6.15pm.

Our guest Fr Giorgio Ghio has returned to Genoa, but before he left he was given an important cat-tea-chism lesson; how to make a decent cup of tea. Two points were stressed: 1. Always warm the pot. 2. BOILING water must be poured over the tea.

It was lovely to be able to welcome brothers in Christ from the York Oratory to Bishopthorpe today.

The Syro-Malabar community at St Joseph’s had a novena leading up to Our Lady’s birthday and concluded on Sunday with a Blessed Sacrament Procession - in the rain!

Fr Richard has been in Scotland, presiding at an Order of Malta investiture, in the presence of the Lords Provost of Edinburgh, Aberdeen, and Dundee, and the Provost of Scotland’s smallest county, Clackmannanshire.
