Absurd this is allowed to continue. I cant wait to see the headlines and spin zone by Chinese how this is still them being victims in this entire situation

I don’t get who this helps in US? Is it just the shallowest level of optics that “foreign country investor = bad”? B/c Japan is a close ally, would invest in keeping and expanding jobs to stay in U.S. what’s the hold up?

The slow and deliberate erasure of Tibetan culture by the PRC,and western institutions hand in that process over the decades is just sad. These museums pushed back against obvious PRC prop. with Mongol imp. identity erasure years ago, why not do the same with Tibetan history now?

If the name “Tibet” is good enough for The Metropolitan Museum of Art why isn’t it good enough for Musée Guimet ? Why is the Guimet helping the CCP erase Tibet’s history, memory, identity & sinicizing Tibetan art & culture by using the colonizing name “Xizang”? Is this colonialism 2.0?
