'Between 2009 and 2014, raw milk and raw milk cheese caused the vast majority (96%) of all illnesses linked to contaminated dairy products. Considering far fewer people consume it, that makes unpasteurized dairy 840 times more risky than pasteurized'

World Health Summit Dr Bronwyn King AO A short-term practical implication of these will be the requirement of many indoor settings to monitor and display the indoor quality parameters in an easily digestible way. That means, you will know when you enter a room if it’s safe or not. This is happening in Belgium already…

World Health Summit Dr Bronwyn King AO However, pretty much all of the ‘personal protection’ approach described above is a stop-gap solution, until clean indoor air standards are developed and implemented. We are going through the equivalent of a ‘boiling our own water’ period for indoor air. In high income countries,…

This is why our lives as disabled people are not safe in the hands of doctors and managers. Patients with hard to treat conditions, especially MH, will be coerced into choosing death by clinicians who can give their time to more deserving patients. Killing should stay criminal.

Our member (not Bucks) has a teenager on an eating disorder ward. All 16 young patients said they would choose if they were offered it. The ward manager said that would save the NHS £11 million a year and they'd favour AD for eating disorders. 1/2

Ventilation/HEPA filtration is to prevent long range transmission of COVID, and extreme concentrations of infectious aerosol for the most part.

You definitely need a properly fitted respirator at conversation distance… and personally I wear one whenever I am in a building that…

Chris 🐭 Steev Stamford Actually it's the opposite

People were lied to and told masks weren't necessary for them, just for doctors. Everyone should have been provided respirators, it would have saved many lives

Even in hospitals in the UK many doctors and nurses were forbidden from using respirators

is causing a similar burden as it did during 2023.

It's a travesty that it's not factored into public health or vax strategies,

The fact that >60k children remain affected is a disgrace.

Look out for the excellent 'pub snack' from Prof. Christina Pagel 😉

I've spoken to some of my patients who are farmers, they have received *zero* direction or guidance from the government on what to do if their herds or workers get sick.

Preparation is key, and we simply can't afford to drop the ball, again.

1860's: We physically raised central Chicago to improve the sewer system and stop cholera!

2024: We can't install portable air filtration and UV systems in hospitals to stop c.ovi.d and other airborne diseases. We'd have to change the filters and bulbs!

We've spent 4+ years telling older adults to avoid inhaling SARS by... washing their hands. No wonder many isolate at home to reduce risk.

We need to help people use testing, high-quality well-fitting masks, and air purifiers. Science-backed PPE reduces reliance on isolation.

Astonishing Update😮
December was the second worst December EVER for staff sickness absence in the NHS.
It was the third worst month EVER overall, behind only January 2021 and December 2022.

I’m excited to discuss our latest research on how ambient CO2 affects how long remains infectious in air. We report that even subtle increases in CO2 affects both how long and transmission risk. Here’s a🧵going over the findings
