The Prime Minister Rishi Sunak chaired his first Cabinet this morning.

The PM outlined how economic stability and fiscal sustainability would be at the heart of this government’s mission – acting with compassion and protecting the most vulnerable.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak & Chancellor Jeremy Hunt have agreed the Autumn Statement will be delivered on 17 November with an Office for Budget Responsibility forecast. It will contain the UK’s medium term fiscal plan to put public spending on a sustainable footing, get debt falling & restore stability.

The United States and the United Kingdom are the closest of allies.

I look forward to working together with President Biden to enhance stability across the world and continue our leading role in support of the people of Ukraine.
