This month I saw new graveyards in Rafah being constructed. And filled.

Reports are now that more than 14,000 girls and boys have been killed in #Gaza .
Perhaps we should say that slowly. Fourteen thousand. Perhaps we should do something.
And surely that 'something' is not a military offensive in Rafah. Ceasefire. Now

Not easy watching.
But as we do, little 9yr old Fouad is still enduring.
And in #Rafah >> where a military offensive is still promised/ threatened.
That will be another utterly devastating turn in this war on children.

Approximately 2 in 3 homes in #Gaza have been destroyed or damaged.
HOMES.
People's Homes.

Brutal hostilities and potential famine are creating ominous conditions for the large scale death of children.
Politics tower while children cower.

Israel has a legal obligation, under international humanitarian and human rights law, to provide food and medical supplies, and facilitate aid operations.

We at the United Nations are mourning the unconscionable killing by Israeli airstrikes of World Central Kitchen aid workers who were delivering food to starving people in Gaza.

An immense loss. Last week we visited the incredible team World Central Kitchen in #Gaza . Their tireless, lifesaving work is a lifeline to so many cut off in this brutal war. Their deaths are a senseless tragedy. And another grim reminder of daily threats to civilians & aid workers

Teenage girls wish bombs would drop on them to end their suffering.

This is the horror of Gaza.
