We developed social contracts, launched Shoutouts for Kindness via Padlet, taped mini posters of positivity in the halls, and began brainstorming new projects. One of our upcoming shifts is to revamp recess.

Friendship, kindness, affirmations… that’s what we have been working on in our homeroom. Day one of compliment circle was a doozie because there is a level of transparency required, but day two they rocked it with confidence and were ready to affirm each other!

After all learners completed their EOY reading screener, we debriefed and reflected on the updated data. We had so many celebrations and we developed plans for success in 6th grade.

I created an EOY Essay Outline, the top essay will be selected by our campus administrators. The top essayist will read his/her writing at the awards ceremony.

Coaching soccer has been a great learning experience for me and for my team! They played hard today and it paid off.

In order to join Kindness Culture, applicants completed a short digital form to express their commitment to kindness, and to elaborate on changes that they’d like to initiate on campus.

I cannot wait for us to bring these wonderful ideas to life!

#tbt Each year around STAAR testing, I send blank encouragement notes and an envelope home for parents/guardians. Seeing students smile, cry, and reread their letters from their parents is always really touching and I highly recommend it!

Today’s ClassDojo Store was a combination of coupons, trinkets, and snacks. While learners redeemed their points, other kiddos remained focused on their tasks. A good day all around!
