Federal workers and all of us who count on them don’t need this kind of disruptive drama. It’s good there’s no shutdown, but this whole exercise stopped hiring, training, maintaining all of our systems and implementing new technology. Don’t wait 44 days to fix it!

House Republicans are openly celebrating furloughing them as they shut down the government and deny the American people access to key services, including education resources for their constituents.

This is appalling.

There are those in Congress right now who are sowing so much division, they’re willing to shut down the government tonight.
