For the last year, advocate Barb Guimond has been fighting to have the Manwin Hotel shut down.

Located on Winnipeg’s Main Street strip, it’s a hub for drugs and violence.

But with a lack of housing, it’s also become a last resort.

When Stanley Morris Peters vanished without a trace in the winter of 1987 near Mount Currie B.C. his family was devastated.
