Perry softball's 3-2 win over Red Mountain Wednesday night in the 6A semis secured the Pumas first softball title-game berth in its history. Janai Mathis had two hits, including a HR. Alexis Ortiz went the distance in the circle allowing 4 hits, 1 walk and 8 Ks. #azpreps365

A Celebration of Life for former Chandler and Hamilton football coach Delvin Schutes will be held this Sunday February 5th from 2 pm - 4 pm at the Chandler District Office. The address is 1525 W. Frye Rd. Delvin passed away in late December. #azpreps365

AZBCA 4A all-star baseball game result today from Goodyear Ball Park - South 6, North 1. Game MVP is Canyon del Oro's Austin Madsen. Madsen 3 for 5 at plate, 2 runs. Also made several superb plays in CF. #azpreps365

Chandler High last played for a baseball state title in 1972 - losing to Tucson High. The Wolves other title appearance was in 1970 and a win over Tucson. #azpreps365

AIA has notified Queen Creek, Hamilton and Chaparral of Queen Creek forfeiting game with Hamilton from earlier in the week due to QC using pitcher not eligible to pitch due to pitch count/rest rules. Hamilton now plays Chaparral on Friday in 6A baseball tournament. #azpreps365

Queen Creek has been bumped from 6A baseball tourney and Hamilton takes QC's place as a result. QC used player not eligible to pitch. Player needed more rest before pitching again due to pitch count rules. #azpreps365
