Giving in charity to the needy is actually giving to yourself. Thank them for the opportunity to be rewarded by Allah.

Every decree is a gift from Allah to the believer, even the calamity that compels you turn back to Him in prayer and repentance.

We are trapped by our egos (nafs) until realize the flaws we see in others exist in ourselves as well. No one is safe from then evil-commanding ego, except by Allah’s help. Stop condemning, forgive them instead. Be humble and busy yourself with your own flaws, not other people.

If I make a mistake and express an incorrect view, please correct me as befitting for a Muslim brother. I change my views when presented with better evidence and reasoning. I only want the Truth. Anything good I say is from Allah, and anything else is from my ego and ignorance.
