Yesterday, we welcomed councillor and Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Colne Valley Paul Davies to Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre to learn more about Active Together and plans to expand into West Yorkshire in the coming months.

In addition to already supporting people in Sheffield and Harrogate, Active Together is set to expand across South Yorkshire and beyond this year to help thousands more affected by cancer 💛

🔍 Evidence continues to demonstrate that exercise for people with cancer can save lives.

Active Together has supported hundreds of people to date, and is due to be rolled out to other areas of Yorkshire later this year.

Big news! Over 1000 people have now taken part in Active Together 🥳

This is extremely exciting news and we are working hard to expand the service across Yorkshire so more people are able to take part and to drive forward understanding of exercise as a treatment for cancer.

It is estimated that 80% of people with cancer are not active enough and most do not start without support.

Our vision is that every person diagnosed with cancer in Yorkshire is able to access services like Active Together.
