BIDEN (just back to the WH from St. Croix) on what he planned to do about the southern border:

'We gotta do something, they gotta give me the money I need to protect the border.'

Again—goes back to what I’ve been saying about this campaign: he needs to raise a *ton* of money if he wants to get on states he’s eying like NY, CA and TX. The fundraisers are cutting it VERY close to many of the filing deadlines in March.

To me, Ronald Brownstein’s passage about McCarthy and Newman really emphasizes why Dean Phillips is not the “clean for Dean” person some people hype him up to be. McCarthy stood for a policy that at least resonated with Americans. Dean is running on one thing: Bad poll numbers.

RFK's numbers are still much higher than the percentage of the vote he will get but his numbers have dropped substantially. He rarely polls at 20% now.

You gotta win as many voted as you can, but its important to see what exaclty made Biden’s coalition in MI.

The real red flag for Biden losing Michigan is if he is cratering in Macomb and Kent counties. biden’s coalition is basically black and union voters with a topping of suburbanites.

I would point to Jackson for quality michigan takes.
