David Roche Adam Tenforde Sports Medicine so cool. I unfortunately saw Adam Tenforde in Jan 2020 after my bone stress injury that wasn't helped by all the miles I was running in carbon plated shoes!

It is evident that running shoes with carbonfiberplates increase the economy and performance by an altered biomechanics. However, the potential negative impact of such shoes on overuse injuries are little studied yet ✌️ See sound paper 👇

Interesting article here re: injuries associated with use of carbon plate “super shoes”.

Important to consider the “when and why” when incorporating these into a training plan. Another facet for periodization?
