Nice to see Jarlath who is Edinburgh's Bike Bus Czar speaking at Critical Mass. Really highlighting that the modal filters at braid road (soon to be removed by the council) have encouraged many parents to start cycling to school rather than driving.

I see people saying the death of a child on Edinburgh's streets shouldn't immediately be used to argue for safer streets.

This summer it'll be 4 years since a child was killed in Morningside. What's been done to make those streets safer since?

Enjoyable pootle around town with Critical Mass Edinburgh this afternoon! Plenty of traffic filling the city and without a few hundred riding partners it would have been thoroughly unpleasant fighting past the mainly stationary cars.

Best not to cycle on sunny days and definitely don't wear hi-vis. Drivers have impunity to knock you off and kill you.

Somewhat damp cycle back from the panto this evening!
