Tofersen, or BIIB067, developed by Biogen, is a key treatment for ALS, just as Ammar Al-Chalabi details below and in the article. Sadly, the priority here is politics and economics instead of offering somebody life-changing therapeutics. #mnd #als

This is simply heartbreaking.

Tofersen is an effective therapy for the 2% of people with #ALS #MND who carry a genetic variation in their SOD1 gene. Whether it is available in the UK depends on a cost threshold and assessment by NICE. The system is outdated:
