It was super fun being there when we picked Terrion Arnold. The place went nuts and I’ve literally never seen a kid be happy to be drafted to Detroit. What a moment.

For my next research study, I asked 4th graders to write anything they knew about WW2. One student wrote “The French were there.” I don’t know why this was so funny to me. The French were just there.

I am watching an episode of Seinfeld where the existence of cell phones would have made it about 10 seconds long. I love how this show made 30 min comedy out of not have immediate access to everyone you know.

Listening to Dr. Terry Anne Scott is trying to change the world and the The Institute for Common Power talk about their Georgia/Alabama Truth & Purpose tour. I’ve been wanting to take my undergrads on a trip like this for YEARS. So excited this exists.

High school. College. The year I got married. My first year teaching. Starting my PhD.

There is an Usher song for all of it. Like all women in their early 40s, I loved that halftime show!!
